When I think of war these lyrics from the song War by Edwin Starr—

War, huh yeah

What is it good for?

Absolutely nothing, oh hoh, oh

War huh yeah

What is it good for?

Absolutely nothing, say it again y'all

War, huh good God

What is it good for?

Absolutely nothing, listen to me

Even the word itself can turn a father’s stomach and make a mother cry. War changes people, and ruins lives as families mourn for the loss of their loved ones. Sadly, the young men who devote their lives for the good of their country return from war never to be the same again. They can’t bring themselves to talk about what they saw or what they did, and perhaps never will.

War has existed since the beginning of time—brothers killing brothers, families fighting over land and territories. As long as there are people, there will be War. As long as people fall into the trap of wanting control and power, there will be war. While living in peace and harmony is desired by most people, the truth continues to reveal a world in which greed, money, and the hunger for power take precedence over living in harmony.

The truth about War can be seen as government officials continue to make deals with other countries for the sake of their own governing power here in the United States. Behind the looking glass of the United States Government are the Mad Hatters who continue to exercise their power. War is ugly, and there are many types of battles being fought leading up to the Wars that have been fought and are still being fought. Perhaps this country is going to hell in a basket. And…as long as there are Wars, there will be no tranquility for the citizens of this country.
